Fly high!

Flying high in the sky was my aim

Since many months i was thinking to do the same

I practiced hard to learn how to fly

only on myself i wanted to rely

Once i jumped from a building so high

i was so happy and said goodbye

my dream to fly high was about to be fulfilled

unfortunately i fell in to a pond as if i died

Soon, my dream to fly got broken in my eyes

all hopes and dreams ended being a lie

I was injured badly and couldn't walk

People laughed on me and with them i didn't talk

Injuries were healed soon and i started walking

What left was still that broken dream of flying

My life was existing and i stopped living it anymore

Same dream popped in to my eyes which i couldn't ignore

Restless and frustrated was me all those times

For people, that dream to fly was a crime

I couldn't stop myself from dreaming or raising hopes

It wasn't possible for people to tie my legs with ropes

I went to that tall building again with a parachute

To the people who were down, i gave them a salute

i jumped again and thought about my dream

So high that time was my self esteem

I was flying with peace of mind

When i was in air, the feeling was so divine

The satisfaction of fulfilling my dream was visible

in my eyes and that moment was so unforgettable

Don't stop dreaming if you fail once in life

dream again and keep trying to be alive

Fly high and don't just exist in life

make your identity and live forever in one life

I was happy in my lonely world

And was listening to my own words,

My nature was like a silent sea

Quiet, shy and introvert was me!

You came with a calm smile on your face

Your intense eyes was like a maze,

Ordinary were you for me that time

But our meeting blew away the wind chimes!

Curious and inquisitive were both of us

And wanted to observe and understand together,

 We talked a lot to know each other

And wanted to spend more time together!

The more we were eager to understand

The more complex and difficult it was for us,

Two different and unique individuals

Met to form a beautiful visual!

Slowly we came to know each other

Every bad and good qualities were known to us,

I became the mirror for you

We fought, we argued,we talked a lot

We laughed, we smiled and we shouted,

 You became a close friend of mine

Caring and motivating were you for me!

But there came a storm in the sea

As the weather changed to rainy,

The sea wasn't silent anymore

I became talkative and funny!

Soon, life changed and you got busy

Other important things took our time,

There were no more heartfelt talks

Clock hands had a long round walk!

Ten years passed like a wind

And we both saw each other again,

There was an awkward silence in the beginning

Meeting again must have been written in destiny!

We took few minutes to open up again

Silence was then converted to laughter,

I didn't talk this much from past many years

And never found someone so dear!

Reviving those same old moments

Rain drops are falling from the sky,

Making an effort to hold you for some more time

Its always so hard to say a good bye!

and living a life with no meaning

Day and night have turned so ordinary

All chidhood dreams are forgotten

when i go for a job to earn daily

Doing my daily work is not pleasing anymore

The inner confidence has also closed its door!

It seems that i am changed a lot

from an ambitious lady to just an ordinary one

I keep on complaining about my life

without realizing that it's me who can make it bright!

It's time to remember those lost dreams

which i once had and distinguish me from others

It's time that i start working on my goals

which will eventually give satisfaction to my soul!

I have to stand tall with my head held high

with a feeling of proud and joy in my heart

When once i will fulfill all my aims

Ordinary life will not remain the same!

So that i can turn one day to a living gem!

1. Always follow your inner voice & don't get distracted by the evil one.This is the first step to become a good human being.

2. When i was disappointed, God gave me the light, path and the direction to follow in my life. He told me, "Work hard & try to reach your goal, leave the rest to me...don't worry, i will choose the best for you"!

We can't be a Ricky Ponting without a struggle!

I heard it multiple times that God give us the same amount of happiness and sadness in our lives. I understood it practically when on 3rd December 2012, I witnessed the last international inning of my hero Ricky Ponting! On the same date a year ago, I was so filled with joy when I fulfilled one of my biggest dream to meet Rajasthan Royals players. But this year, one of my biggest nightmare came true, Ricky's retirement from Test cricket!

A lot has been said and written about him since his farewell match till today but I was waiting for 19th December to share my feelings. Every Ricky fan know the importance of this day, the day when our legend and our idol was born!

Everyone has a childhood hero; whom they imitate, follow and want to become like them. For me, it was always Ricky Ponting! My interest in cricket started during the 1999 World Cup. At that time, I was more of a South African team fan. But gradually, I got attached with Australian cricket team when Ricky Ponting became the captain of ODI team and then, later of the test team. His leadership qualities always attracted me; his never say die attitude and love for cricket made me respect him a lot.

I have learned a lot from this man. He is an institution for me; a man who taught me to love my job completely. He is the one who taught me that I should never give up in life even if I am on the verge of loosing. He taught me that I should give my best even when I am on the top. We become lazy after achieving something big but he taught me that we should keep on working hard to stay there at top for a longer period. He taught me to excel in every department of my job like he did with his batting, fielding and captaincy. I learned leadership qualities from him. He always treated the whole team as his baby and took care of them every moment. I never saw him running away from his responsibilities and that's why every moment he taught me a new lesson.

I won't say that he is an extra ordinary human and not even that he is the best person but I would definitely agree that he plays an important part in my life. He is that person who inspires me always whenever I am tensed and sad; he motivates me and he is the reason why i keep on going in my life. I feel so proud to be his fan forever.

Ricky, I miss you a lot when i see cricket matches and its not at all special without you. I don't see you eating chewing gum in the ground any more; i don't see you making fielding changes in the ground; i don't see you biting finger nails during a tense moment at the game!

I don't know if I will ever get a chance to meet you but trust me, my good wishes are with you forever!
